Bennie C Jackson, 91, of Hobart, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. He was born on September 26, 1925 to the late Andrew and Leita Jackson. Bennie was the owner/operator of the Bennie's TV Repair and a retired U.S Steel worker, where he worked in Electronics. He was a U.S Coast Guard Veteran and a member of the Masonic Lodge out of Illinois and a member of the Winamac Antique Auto Club. He was married to the love of his life Deloris Allan in Weldon, Illinois on June 19, 1949.
Bennie is survived by his wife of 67 yrs., Deloris Jackson of Hobart; two daughters, Debra (Richard) Vucich of Hobart and Pam (Mike) Sipich of Hobart; grandson, Michael Boyll of Valparaiso; two great-grandchildren, Liam and Ava Boyll; sister, Cherry Kingston; and many other loving family members and friends.
Bennie was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 2, 2006 12:00 pm Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, with Pastor Rebecca L. Smith, officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, December 2, 2016 from 10 am until time of service at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
