BERTHA O. NORMAN, age 94, of Lexington, KY and formerly of Northwest Indiana, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014. She was born on November 12, 1919 in Rutherford, Tennessee to the late John and Margaret Grinder. She was formerly a member of Assembly of God in Portage and Church of the Four Seasons. Bertha will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her son, Richard (Bernice) Norman of Lake Station; 3 daughters, Jean (Charles) Stout of Lexington, KY, Wanda (Joe) McCluskey of CA, Judy (Vern) Hein of Leroy, IN; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Marie Taylor of AL; other loving family.

Bertha was preceded in death by husband, Marion; granddaughter, Karen Norman; 5 brothers, Malcolm, Hubert, Gilbert, Ernest and Johnny Grinder; 2 sisters, Ann Lambert and Lydia Mansfield.

A funeral service for Bertha will be Friday, October 3, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., with Rev. David Banning officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
