BETHSAIDA "BETSY" ROSADO SALAZAR, age 65, of Hammond, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026. She was born on May 26, 1960, to the late Ramon and Adeline (Lagares) Rosado. Betsy adored Marilyn Monroe and had a vast collection of memorabilia. She was proud of her Puerto Rican heritage and loved to listen to music and dance. Betsy loved animals, especially her fur babies, Lola and Panda.

Betsy is survived by her brothers, Ramon Rosado, Jose (Heidi) Rosado, Isaac (Delia) Rosado, Jacob Rosado (Christine), Elias Rosado, Gamaliel Rosado, Hiram Rosado and Abel Rosado; sisters, Marlyn Serrano, Doris (Samuel) Pedroza, Raquel Perez, Adeline Puente; devoted friend, Javier Flores; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents, brother, William Rosado; sisters, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Toñita Rosado and Agar Rosado; loving nephew, Tony Rosado.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Visitation for Betsy will be Monday, January 12, 2026 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel with Rev. Jaime Perea officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
