Betty S. Davis, age 84, of Hobart, IN passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

Betty was born on December 5, 1937 in Sparta, TN to the late Earl William and May (nee Knowles) Davis.  She was a third grade elementary school teacher with Foreman (now Joan Martin) Elementary School.  Betty retired in June of 1999 after 32 years of service.  Betty was a former member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.

Betty loved to get in the car and go.  She loved to travel, visiting Ireland, Mexico, and many States.  She was a dear sister, aunt, friend, and educator who touched many lives.  Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Betty is survived by her sister-in-law: Nina Davis; many nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; many dear friends and former students.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents: Earl William and May; brother: Bill Davis; twin brother: Robert "Bob" Davis; and stepbrother: Henry Clay Anderson.

A private committal service was held, and Betty was laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN.
