Betty Jean Greenway (nee Gallagher), age 85, of Arlington, Texas and formerly of Hobart, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017. She was born on October 19, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late John and Frieda Gallagher. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family.  She was an avid Cubs fan.  She enjoyed playing cards with her family and she played to win!  She was a great example of love, strength and endurance to all.  She will be greatly missed.

Betty is survived by her sons, John (Terri) Moloney, James (Brenda) Townsend; daughters, Betty (Michael) Taylor, Cathy (Pat) Medrano, Joanna (Mike) DiSabella; grandchildren, Russell, Shannon, Catherine, Dean, Aaron, Justin, Jason, Cristina and Jared; several great grandchildren; and one sister, Diane German.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Greenway; son, Andrew Townsend; brother, John Gallagher; sister, Jane Tkacs. Memorial contributions in Betty's name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or the ASPCA, 424 East 92 ^nd New York, NY 10128.

A funeral service for Betty will take place Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
