Betty Lee Hullett

Age 74 of Portage passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7,2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 17, 1950, in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Leslie R. and Mary Louise (nee Alvey) Damron. Betty had a warm and joyful spirit and found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved the sunshine especially her trips to Florida and had a special fondness for lilacs. Above all, Betty cherished her children, grandchildren, and her dog, Baby, who were the light of her life.  Her warmth, kindness and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Betty is survived by her sons Robert Baize, Michael (Kimberly) Baize and Terry (Jessica) Horwitz; brother, Thomas (Joyce) Damron; grandchildren, Ryan (Kallie), Joseph (Abigail), Isaac (Sierra), Allison and Haylee Baize, Jonah and Elijah Horwitz; great grandchildren, Alivia and Tanner and her ex-husband, Charlie Hullet.

Betty was preceded in death by her grandson, Zachary, her parents and brother, Robert Damron.

In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be appreciated.

A funeral service for Betty will be held Wednesday, November 12,2025 at 3:00 PM at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana 46368. Cremation will follow. Visitation will also be held Wednesday, November12,2025 from 2:00 pm until the time of service also at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
