Betty Jane Peek, age 84, of Portage, IN passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014. She was born October 13, 1929 in Shelbyville, Tennessee to the late Enos and Julia Reed. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Betty is survived by her children, Ray T. (Cleide) Peek, Jerry E. Peek, and Bonnie Felice; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and brothers, Ross, Bill, Howard and Bob Reed. She was preceded in death by her parents Enos and Julia Reed; husband, Marvin T Peek; son, Michael W. Peek; daughter, Rebecca L Reed; brothers, Don, Herbert and James Reed and one sister, Nellie Smith. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 14, 2014 at 10:00 am at Rees Olson Funeral Home, 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the funeral home.
