Betty June Tolliver
(Nee Mulligan)
Age 90, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 13, 1924 to the late Lawrence and Pearl (nee Fleming) in Hobart, Indiana. Betty worked in the ammunition camp making helmets for soldiers during World War II. On June 5, 1947 Betty married the love of her life Willard D. Tolliver. Betty was a past member of the Nazarene Church in Hobart. Betty will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her two sons, Dennis Tolliver of Portage, Lester (Terry) Serles of Chesterton; daughter, Debbie Woodson of Kemp, Texas; brother, Donald (Kay) Mulligan of Portage; sister, Lorraine Powers of Bicknell, Indiana, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Willard L. Tolliver; son , Jim Tolliver; her parents; two brothers, Jim and Harry Mulligan; three sisters, Vera Hutchinson, Ruth Parker and Dorothy Mulligan.
A visitation for Betty June will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 3-8 pm at Rees Funeral Home Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Cremation will follow.
