Betty S. Wallace, age 84, a longtime Hobart resident passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at St. Mary Medical Center of Hobart surrounded by her family. She was born April 16, 1929 in Alabama to Geether and Emma Trotter. She was a member of First Baptist Church, in New Chicago. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her loving family; 2 sons, Charles Wallace of Wheeler, Jerry Wallace of Hobart; 1 daughter Theresa (Dennis) Galloway of LaPorte; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters; Muriel Thompson of California and Frances Stewart of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Wallace, son James Wallace and brother Charles Trotter.
Funeral Services for Betty are Friday, June 7, 2013 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana with Pastor Bill Barrow officiating. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
