BETTY R. WALTERS (nee JONES), age 83, of DeMotte, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at home. Betty had been a DeMotte resident for 28 years and was formerly of Hobart. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Betty enjoyed gardening and sewing. Her jams and jellies were enjoyed by all her family and friends.
Betty is survived by 6 children: Phyllis (Robert) Gresser, Pamela (George) Draschil, Phillip (Deb) Carrol, Peggy King,Patricia Mihalek and Paula Carrol, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, John, Leroy and Amos Jones, daughter-in-law, Linda Carrol, nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Clifford "Cliff" Walters, son, Paul Carrol, parents, Mildred & Dillard Jones, sister, Nancy and brothers, Richard & "Bud" Jones.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Chaplain Marjorie Egger officiating.
