Beverly May Blackfield, age 89, of Lansing, Illinois passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019. She was born December 4, 1929 in Detroit, MI to the late Alvin and Dorothy Wayne. Bev worked as a travel agent for Comfort Travel until she was 85 years old. Of course, she loved to travel and go on cruises. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all kinds of sports. Her favorite teams were the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers and the Chicago Cubs. She was the oldest member of the Lansing Country Club and loved to spend her time golfing there.

She is survived by her son, Larry Blackfield; daughter, Lauren Will; grandchildren, Sandra Will-Brum, Robert Will, Brian Blackfield; great grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Caden, Chase, Samantha, Connor and Logan; sister, Ethel Bryant; sister in law, Dottie Wayne; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Blackfield; son-in-law, Jerry Will; brother, John Wayne; and sister, Ginny Rumzek.

A memorial service for Bev will take place Friday, October 4, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage.
