Beverly A. Braun "Duke", age 88 of Hobart passed away Friday, September 23, 2022. She was born on December 21, 1933 in Gary, Indiana to the late Harold and Emma Mitchell. A lifelong Hobart resident, Beverly attended St. Bridget Catholic Grade School and was a dedicated member of the church. She enjoyed bowling in her free time at Hobart Lanes. She loved to cook and bake for her family.  She will always be remembered for the delicious meals she made from scratch without using recipes.

She is survived by her daughters, Kari Wood, Cindy (Robert) Belinsky, Lori Farrell; son, Geno (Michelle) Braun; grandchildren, DJ Wood, Erik (Brooke) Kellum, Billy (Caitlyn) Farrell, Jordan (Stephanie) Farrell, Sidni Farrell, Briana (Richie) Florey, Gene Michael Braun; great grandchildren, Jordyn, Addie, Will, Max and George.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Emma Mitchell; her husband, Clarence Eugene Braun; sisters, Donna Redar and Joyce Wasy.

Cremation will take place with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hobart.  Memorial services are Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 6 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Rev. Benjamin Ross officiating.  Memorial visitation is Saturday, October 8, 2022 just prior to the service from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.  (219) 942-2109.
