BEVERLY V. SHULTZ, age 72, of Valparaiso, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Horton VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. Beverly had been a lifelong Hobart & Valparaiso resident and graduated from Hobart High School in 1958. She retired from Hobart Schools, Food Service with 29 years of service.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Charles "Chuck" Shultz of Valparaiso, 3 sons, Stephen Shultz of Portage, Jeff (Sharon) Shultz of the Marshall Islands in the South Pacific and Ed (Robin) Shultz of Portage, 4 grandchildren: Joe, Steve, Nick and Aaron Shultz; brother, Bradley (Jackie) Smith of Portage; nephew, Brandon Smith, also of Portage; sister-in-law, Sharon Scholten of Reno, NV and canine companion, "Precious". She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Georgiadean Smith.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Rev. Charles R. Strietelmeier officiating.
