Beverly Ann Vigland

Beverly Ann Vigland (nee Skidd), age 72 of Valparaiso passed away Friday, January 27, 2017. She was born on October 9, 1944 in Gardner, MA to the late John and Leslie Skidd. Beverly retired from Nipsco and was a longtime member of the Hobart Elks. She was the first and only Woman Exalted Ruler of the Hobart Elks Club. Beverly enjoyed golfing and cherished that time with her girlfriends.

She is survived by one son, Charles R. "Rob" (Tricia) Vigland of Valparaiso, IN; one daughter, Tiffany (Mark) Sintkowski (nee Vigland) of Lake Village, IN; two brothers, Lee (Brenda) Herk of Mesa, AZ; Onnie (Norma) Herk of Fitzwilliam, NH; five grandchildren, , Tyler and Timmy Vigland, Zachary and Kyle Mack, and Kaitlyn Sintkowski, and her beloved dog, Samantha.

She was preceded in death by her former husband and best friend, Charles Emil Vigland.

Memorial visitation will be Friday, February 3, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.. An Elks service will begin at 6 p.m. to be followed by a memorial service at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Rev. Bob Burton officiating.
