Bill L. Manoski

Hilary "Bill" L. Manoski, Sr. age 59, of Portage, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021.

Bill was born on October 14, 1961 in Gary, IN to Hilary Steven "Mouse" Manoski and Susan (nee Geiselman) Popov. He was a graduate of Portage High School, Class of 1980. Bill worked in the Engineering Department at St. Mary Medical Center. Bill was introduced to the love of his life, Kymberly (nee Padlo), through his best friend and future brother-in-law, Ted Padlo. Bill and Kym were married on November 12, 1983 and they spent 37 love and laughter-filled years together.

Bill was a former vice president and president of the Portage Lit tle League. He coached Portage Youth Basketball and dabbled in coaching pop warner football, where he was there to mostly wipe away tears and bandage up injured players. Bill was a member of Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting ducks, geese, and pheasants. While he dressed the part of a true Tour de France cyclist, Bill loved to ride his bicycle on the Trails. He also loved to camp in his happy place in Michigan and was known as a "grill master", serving up charred hot dogs and dry prime rib. Bill loved to have his family over to entertain. Most of all, Bill was a very loving and devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bill is survived by his wife of 37 years: Kym; his children: Hilary "Billup" (Tracy) Manoski, Jr. and their son: Hilary "Billy Bear", III; Zachary "Cow" (Caroline) Manoski and their children: Hayden, Suzanne, and Murphie; Lucas "Luker" (Krystal Mulzon) Manoski; and Camille "Peaches" (Richard Medellin) Manoski and their children: Ezekiel, Demetri, and Veronica; mother: Susan (Bob) Popov; sister: Suzi "Sissy" (Rich) Colville and children: Matt, Megan, and Danny; brother: Matthew "Paradise" (Heather) Manoski and their son: Drew; sisters-in-law: Constance (Bruce) Birch, Cassandra (Bob) Belshaw, Camille (Jim) Hawkins; brother-in-law: Rusty (Linda) Padlo; numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs: George and Lenny.

Bill was preceded in death by his father: Hilary "Mouse" Manoski; parents-in-law: Janice and Stanley "Stas" Padlo; and his best friend and borther-in-law: Ted Padlo.

Family and friends may gather at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church (2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage) on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 2:00-8:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church with Fr. Kevin McCarthy officiating. Cremation will follow.
