Billy Joe "BJ" Handley, age 70, of Lake Station passed away in his home on Tuesday June 3, 2014 with his wife at his side. BJ was born May 8, 1944 in Gary, Indiana to Violet Handley. BJ was a retired member of Operating Engineer Local Union #150, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of American Legion Post #100 in Lake Station.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Shirley (Majka) Handley, His parents Walter and Violet Handley, three sons Cliff, Billy and Dean Handley, two step daughters Sheri and Sunni, three brothers Walt, Ken and Martin Handley, Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held from 3-7 PM Sunday June 22, 2014 at American Legion Post 100 located at the corner of Central Avenue and Grand Blvd. in Lake Station.
