Billy W. Williams

Billy W Williams, age 74, of Portage, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 7:11am. He was born on May 18, 1945 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to the late Richard and Pearlene (nee Hawks) Williams. On March 25, 1968, in Dyersburg, Tennessee he married the love of his life Mary L. Fowler. Billy retired from Fewer Boiler Inc. in Chicago, Illinois where he worked as a boilermaker. He will always be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, "Papaw", brother and friend to those who loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 51years, Mary Williams; two sons, Billy W. Williams II and David A. (Patricia) Williams; brother, Andrew Williams; four grandchildren, Amanda, Amber,  David Jr. and Justin; great-grandchild, Kaleb many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters Holly, Hellen and Peggy Williams and brother Lendel Williams.

Per Billy wishes there will be a memorial service held at Portage United Pentecostal Church, 2865 Willowdale, Portage.
