Obituary

Blondy V. Moore, age 87, of Lake Station passed away Thursday March 23, 2023, at Methodist Hospital Southlake in Merrillville. Blondy was born July 10, 1935 in Beaver Dam, Kentucky to the late William and Pearl (Swift) Daugherty. She was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved hosting holidays at her home full of family, friends, and loved ones. She enjoyed traveling and had a love of crossword puzzles. Blondy loved angels, squirrels, and strawberries. Most of all Blondy loved her family.

Blondy is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Thomas) Julian of Middleboro, Massachusetts, and stepdaughter, Peggy D. Lungwitz of Hebron; Five grandchildren, Charity, Sara, Jeanette, Angie, and Matthew; seven great grandchildren, Rio, Jessica, Lillian, Isabella, Liam, Aurora, and Bree; one brother-in-law, Don Westbury; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four husbands, Raymond Corbin, Eugene Raikes, Lewis Frost, and Roy W. Moore; three sisters, Nova (Ernest) Gregory, Edith (Jack) Prestrem, and Wanda Westbury.

Memorial visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm Thursday April 20, 2023 at  Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, IN 46342. Her Memorial Service will follow immediately at Noon at the Funeral Home. Burial of Ashes will be in Calvary Cemetery.
