Bobby Ray Blair, age 76, of Portage, formerly of LaPorte County, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 3, 1950, in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Bobby spent his childhood years in Montana, earning the nickname "Montana Bob". 

Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he dedicated his career to law enforcement, retiring as a deputy with the LaPorte County Sheriff's Office.

Above all, Bobby will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather. His kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
