Bobby "Joe" Childers

Bobby "Joe" Childers, age 64 a longtime Lake Station resident passed away Friday, October 28, 2022.  He was born on October 31, 1957 in Hammond Indiana to the late Alvin B. and Barbara J. Childers, Sr.. Joe worked at Arcelor Mittal and retired in 2012.  He was an Avid Cubs and Bears fan and loved his family dearly.  Joe was known to be part of the "Booze Brothers".

He is survived by his siblings, Alvin B. (Theresa) Childers, Jr. of Lake Station, IN;  Thomas (Sue) Childers of Burns Harbor, IN; Stanley (Laura) Childers of Ogden Dunes, IN; Karen (Dave) Keilman of Cedar Lake, IN; Jimmy Childers of Portage, IN; Danny (Becky) Childers of Candler, NC; Candie (Jason) Maxwell of Lake Station, IN; nieces and nephew, Emily, Eric, and Elizabeth and many other nieces and nephews, and beloved dog, Cupcake.

Funeral services are Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station.  Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville.  Visitation is Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station.   (219) 962-1606
