Bonnie Redd

Bonnie (nee McCullough) Redd, age 87, of Portage, IN passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.

Bonnie was born on August 1, 1934 in Lynnwood, PA to the late Albert and Pearl Mae (nee Price) McCullough.  She married James Redd on August 4, 1955 and spent 56 wonderful years together until his passing in 2011.  Bonnie was a member of Portage E.C.C., formerly Garyton Covenant and a part of the Hospitality Committee.  Her skills in baking contributed to funeral luncheons with a mandarin orange "funeral cake" always present on the dessert table.  Bonnie loved to host get togethers and barbeques and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.  She is a devoted mother, loving grandmother, adoring great-grandmother, dear aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Deborah Redd; grandchildren: Jaime (Joshua Hargroder) Nolan and Justin (Emily) Nolan; great-grandchildren: Ralston and Bonnie Nolan; many nieces and nephews; and beloved grandkitties: Jynx and London.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, James; parents: Albert and Pearl McCullough; and siblings: Donald, Hugh, and Bert McCullough, Esther Antonucci and Oella Joseph.

Family and friends may gather at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel (5341 Central Ave, Portage) on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 11:00 A.M – 1:00 P.M.  A memorial service will take place directly following visitation at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Michaile Murray Broadnax officiating.  Cremation and arrangements are entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
