Bonnie Lou Tompkins

Bonnie Lou Tompkins, (nee Deliman) age 77, of Hobart, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025.  She was born on September 17, 1948, in Gary, Indiana to the late George and Nina Mae Deliman.  She was a longtime former Miller/Gary resident. Bonnie worked at numerous restaurants over the years including, Miller Pizza, the Stepping Stone, and McDuffy's.  She also worked at Steel City in Porter.  Bonnie never met a stranger; she made friends easily and always put others before herself.     She was a huge Elvis fan who enjoyed playing Bingo, working crossword puzzles, listening to country music and caring for her pets. Above all, Bonnie treasured spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by two children, Connie Smith-Passon of Hobart, IN; Ronnie (Jennifer) Smith of LaPorte, IN; grandchildren, Jessica (Connor) Acuna, Nicole (Kenny) Smeltzer, Ronnie Smith II, Kristin Passon, and Ashley Passon, great-grandchildren, Issaiah Smith, Rowan Smeltzer, Kennedy Smeltzer, A'Niya McMillian, Chloe Spencer, Maddex Spencer, and Zaiden Passon.

She was preceded in death by one brother, George Deliman Jr..
