Boyd Robert "Bob" Hanna

Boyd "Bob" Hanna, age 81, of Lake Station, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019.  Bob was born March 14, 1938 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Robert and Evelyn (Voss) Hanna.  He was a crane operator retiring from Arcelor-Mittal Steel Company with over thirty years of service.  Bob was a US Naval Veteran.  He loved his family and his dogs.

Boyd is survived by his loving children, Robert (Lois) Hanna, Cheryl (David) Coates and Doreen (Daniel) Hanna all of Portage; his son-in-law, Joseph Allison of Portage; nine grandchildren, Nicole (James) Gregait, Stephanie (Matthew) Hemry, Robert (Jasmine) Hanna, Brittany (Ryan) Coates, Alec (Allie) Coates, Krystle (Jacob) Allison, Anthony (Sydney) Allison, Nikolas Allison and Jacob Allison; seven great grandchildren; his sister, Sue Unger of Florida; and caregiver, Dana Gonsiorowski.

He was preceded in death by his wife Kay Hanna; his parents; his daughter, Christine Allison; two brothers and two sisters.
