Brenda Ann Heck, aged 61, was called home on May 2, 2016. She moved to her new life quietly after a long illness. Brenda was born April 1, 1955 in Valparaiso, IN. She grew up in Portage, IN and graduated from Portage High School in 1973. She attended Ball State University in Muncie, IN and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Business and a minor in French. Her parents, Harvey and Patricia (Westerby) Noland have preceded her in death.

On November 4, 1978, she married Keith Crowley Heck, who survives in Chesterton. Brenda's children are Stefania (Peter) Charpentier of Valparaiso and Keith Crowley Heck II of Chesterton. Her grandchildren are Tyler, Alesandra, Edward and Elizabeth (Due in May 2016) Charpentier.

In addition, Brenda is survived by two brothers Edward (Carol) and Jerry (Melinda) Noland of Valparaiso, and two sisters Janet (Bill) Cantrel of Valparaiso and Carol (Clay) Frey of Merrilliville. Also surviving are in-laws Terri (Peter) Hudson of Portage, Deborah (Ronald) Loverich of Chesterton, Karen Wilmoski of Chesterton, Paula (Kenneth) Reveal of Arcola, IL, and numerous nephews and nieces. Brenda is survived by her Mother-in-law, Norma Heck of Portage.

Brenda was dedicated to her family. She enjoyed baseball and watching her children play sports. She helped in her community through Christian Community Action. Memorial contributions in Brenda's name may be made to the National Aphasia Association, P.O. Box 87, Scarsdale, NY 10583.
