Brenda Rippe (Cook), age 67, of Hobart, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014. She was born June 23, 1946 in LaPorte, Indiana to the late Arnold and Pauline Cook. Brenda was a member of the Glen Park Eagles Chapter 2413 and loved bingo and crafts. She graduated from River Forest High School in 1965 and spent her career working as a Home Nurse's Aid for over 25 years.

She is survived by her sons: William Lee (Rebecca) Driver, Jeffrey Lee Duhon; step son: Mike Rippe; daughters: Shawn (Denis) Spain and Karie (David) Borton; brothers: Jerry C. Cook, Eddie A. Cook and Bobby (Rose) Cook; sister: Lola (Cornel) Teguiani; grandchildren: Nick, Heather, Russell, Ashley, Brenda, Jessica, Samuel, Andrew, Kasey, Ashley, Alexys and Peyton; great grandchildren: Makayla, Chance, Zachary, Alexander, Michael and Nana; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Sassy.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Pauline Cook; husband: Edward E Rippe and sister: Erma J Alkire.

A funeral service for Brenda will take place Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Rev. Minnie Munsell officiating. She will be laid to rest at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte. Visitation will be held Monday, June 16, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home with an Eagles Service at 7:00 pm.
