Brenda K. Wydmon

Brenda Kathryn Wydmon (nee Michael), age 56, of Lake Station, passed away at home on Friday, February 17, 2017. Brenda was born in East Chicago, IN on December 21, 1960 to the late Joe Michael and Judy Botkin. She loved her plants and her dogs. In her free time, she enjoyed going to rummage sales. Brenda will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 31 years, Barry Wydmon; daughter, Dawn (AJ Rocha) Wydmon; sisters, Robin (Steve) Mitchell, Karen Michael; sisters in law, Elizabeth Janes, Pamela (Alan) Little, Shelby (Scott) Irons; brother in law, Russell (Missy) Armes; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Judy Kidd; father, Jim Kidd; mother in law, Shelby Jean Wydmon; father in law, Walter Wydmon; and brothers in law, Walter Wydmon, Jr., Tony Janes.

A funeral service for Brenda will take place Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave Portage, IN 46368 with Brother Ron Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2017 from 2-8 pm at the funeral home. For more information, please call 219-762-3013.
