Brian McCann

Age 33, of Chesterton, Indiana passed away April 20, 2023. He was born on February 23, 1990, to Colette (nee Rzepczynski) Weitknecht and Timothy McCann. Brian loved being a dad to his four boys: Chace, Henry, Theodore and Archer. He enjoyed teaching them how to fish, how to use various tools while doing house projects, and wrestling around with them. Brian always took pride in his work as a Pipefitter with the Local 597. His job allowed him to provide for his family and make sure his boys were taken care of. He wore his heart on his sleeve and was always so giving. Brian shared a special relationship with his girlfriend, Kathy Carlisle. He will always be remembered as a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

He is survived by his four loving children. Chace McCann of Rockwell, Texas, Henry, Theodore and Archer McCann of Crown Point, Indiana; two sisters Lauren (Derek Thopy) Martin and Courtney (John Lynch) McCann both of Chicago, Illinois; brother Kevin (Melissa) McCann of Palm Harbor, Florida; three nieces, Eleanor and Cora Thopy, Harper McCann, two nephews, Miles Thopy and Cooper McCann, aunt, uncle and god parents, Colleen (Paul) Jarosz; additional aunts and uncles Kevin (Kathleen) McCann and John McCann; Patricia McCann; cousin Stephanie (Matt Hubrich) Jarosz and many other loving family members and friends.

Brian was proceeded in death by his grandmother, Phyllis Rzepczynski, grandfather, Gerald Rzepczynski, step-father Horace (Whitey) Weitknecht, Aunt Sharon and Uncle Richard Heck, and Uncle James McCann.
