Butch Whitaker, age 60 of Hobart passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015. He was born on January 3, 1955 to Roy Clarence and Eloise (nee Kress) Whitaker in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Butch was a self-employed diesel mechanic and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife; Donna Jean (nee Schultz) Whitaker; three sons, Troy (Carla) Whitaker of Fishers, Indiana, James Whitaker of Lake Station and Nathan Whitaker of Cedar Lake; daughter, Tina (Patrick) Glinski of St. John; ten grandchildren; three sisters, Nancy (Kenny) Winslow of Arizona, Elaine Wilson of Portage and Mikki Whitaker of Tennessee, nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial service for Butch will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor James Randolph officiating. Cremation will be handled with Rees Funeral Home and cremation services. Visitation will be held on Monday May 18, 2015 from 2 p.m. until time of service also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
