Calvin Hudson, age 51 of Lake Station passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023.  He was born in Chicago, Illinois to Patricia Hudson-Pulliam and Maurice Diggins.  Calvin was married to his best friend Lisa Hudson for 10 years.  He is survived by his children, Samarjae Hudson, Zen Worzalla, Chris Moreno Jr., Cory Moreno, Jesse Moreno (Bree); grandchildren, Noah, Addisynn, Laila, Josiah, Amaih; siblings, Terrance Hudson, Diantha Garcia (Elmer), Beatricie Diggins-Hopper (Mark), Amanda Henderson, Jayden Diggins, Tilease and Amanda Henderson along with many other beloved family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his brother Edward Hudson.

Calvin had a deep passion for music and was an amazing DJ.  He was a respected member of Fleet DJ's.  Although his love for music was strong it was no comparison to the love he felt for his wife, family, and friends. Anyone who knew Calvin knows he enjoyed helping others.  His smile and laughter were contagious.  He loved sharing jokes and cooking for family gatherings.  He was an animal lover and made every adventure in life fun.  He will be truly missed by everyone!

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road from 11:00 to 1:00. The service will follow at 1:00 pm by Rev.
