Carl W. Boswell, age 91, of Michigan City, formerly a longtime Hobart resident, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021.  He was a US Navy Veteran and a retiree of US Steel with 36 years of service. Carl was very active and enjoyed being part of the Chorus of the Dunes. He occupied his time playing guitar, fiddle and piano, restoring old radios, building birdhouses and lighthouses, and completing crossword and Sudoku puzzles.  Carl will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (nee Roeder); daughter, Carla (John) Ksenak of Hobart; son, Russell (Melanie) Boswell of Kouts; stepchildren, Kevin (Tencha) Smith, Frank (fiancée, Amber) Smith, and Angela (Al) Morelli; grandchildren, Aric Gibson, Sean Gibson, JC Ksenak, Kaitlyn Ksenak, Aaron Boswell, Rachel Boswell, Rebekah Boswell, and Lindsay Stover; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Evanelle (Maurice) Rainey of AL; other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anita (nee Frank); parents, Tully and Eva Boswell; and brothers, James, Gene, and Ray Boswell.

Funeral services for Carl will be Wednesday April 21, 2021, at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Entombment at Graceland Mausoleum.
