Carl David Cohen, age 61 went on to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 29, 2017. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 4, 1955.
He was loved and known by "Dave" and "Uncle Dave" to his family and friends. He was a retired Teamster of the Local #142 and a friend to many. He was a skilled laborer, he worked hard and in excellence, and was always willing to help a friend in need at a moments notice. Dave enjoyed working on his car and all his friends' cars. He loved his music, reading and feeding the birds.
Dave is survived by his loving daughter, Janelle (Aaron) Holst, grandchildren, Justin, Judah and Jayda, his mother, Gertrude K. Cohen, and his sister, Ellyn (Robert) Nemeth; nieces Wendy (Joshua) Howard, Nicole (Dan) Santana; and great nieces and nephews, Chloe, Jared, Ethan, Sienna, Sidney, Sophia and Jaxson; uncle, Greg Karczewski; cousin, Jeff Karczewski.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry P. Cohen.
His life and memory will be honored and celebrated at a private family service at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.reesfuneralhomes.com.
