Carl Kozenchik

Carl Kozenchik, age 76, of Portage passed away Sunday August 23, 2020 in his home.  He was born April 11, 1944 in Gary, Indiana to the late Michael and Anna (Danch) Kozenchick.  Carl retired from the long term health care field where he served as the Maintenance Director for several area Care Centers.  He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan. Carl enjoyed shooting at the gun range, boating, golfing and playing video games.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Rita (Hazelton) Kozenchik of Portage; three sons, Michael Kozenchik, James (Melissa) Kozenchik and Eric (Sarah) Gorby all of Portage; two daughters, Anne Sebert of Portage and Nicole (Dan) Lewis of Hobart; four grandchildren, Lexi Sebert, Brett Kozenchik, Owen Gorby and Samantha Lewis; and many extended family members and dear friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Janet Kozenchick.

Visitation will be Wednesday August 26, 2020 from 4-7 pm at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road. His Funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
