Carl H. Miller Jr.

Age 75, of Portage passed away on December 21, 2023. He was born in Gary, Indiana on December 20, 1948, to the late Carl H. Miller Sr. and Jean (nee Urdesu) Miller. He was a 1967 graduate from East Gary High School. Carl married the love of his life, Anna M. (Patton) Miller on July 6, 1968. He worked for Yellow Freight as a manager for many years. He was a member of Portage Christian Church and Masonic Lodge #741. He enjoyed doing yardwork, plowing snow, and keeping his yard immaculate. Carl will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, and friend.

Carl is survived by his two sons; Carl (Erika) Miller III of Lake Station and Daniel (Tina) Miller of Cedar Rapids, IA, his two brothers; David (Ellen) Miller and John (Dorothy) Miller, his sister Jeanie (Richard) Bruner; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife Anna Miller and his parents.

A funeral service for Carl will be held Wednesday December 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana 46368. Burial at McCool Cemetery, Portage, Indiana. A visitation will also be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
