Carl Napalowski, of Portage died Monday afternoon at the age of 63. Carl was born in Gary Indiana, and graduated from Edison High School in 1965. Carl served in the US Army from 1968-69, and was a proud member of United Steelworkers of America, District 07, Local 12775. He retired from NIPSCO in 2003, after 35 years of employment. Carl was preceded in death by his father, John Napalowski and brother, John Napalowski. He is survived by his mother Helen of Lake Station, his wife Lois, and his daughters Lori (Ruben) Perez of Lake Station, and Karen (Chris) Jackson of Santee, California. He also leaves behind grandchildren Alex Sprouse, Ayla Jackson, Rhiannon Jackson, Anna Jackson, and Jamie Jackson, as well as a nephew, Joey Napalowski and a niece, Melinda Napalowski. Visitation for Carl Napalowski will be Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage . Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.
