CARL JACKSON TEMPLEMAN, age 87, of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Regency Hospital in Portage. Carl resided at Pines Village Retirement Apartments in Valparaiso and a World War II US Army Veteran. He retired from Inland Steel after 33 years of service as a General Foreman of the 44 inch Slab Mill and was a member of Union Local #1010. Carl was a devoted and loving husband. He was a Dad that was always there with much-needed advice and love for his children. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Roger Templeman of Valparaiso, 3 daughters: Patricia (Normand) Soucy of Portage, Sandi (Adrian) Kall of Valparaiso and Karen (Ricky) Goggins of Portage, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother, Jimmy Major of Hopkinsville, KY, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Clo, son, Gary Lee, 3 grandchildren; Heather Templeman, Normand Soucy, Jr. and Jeffery Soucy, brother, Ivan and sister, Edith Adkins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage with Chaplain Dean Christianson, officiating.
