Carla Serrano

Carla Serrano, age 82 of Portage passed away Friday, June 10, 2022.  She was born on November 4, 1939 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico to the late Damaso and Hilaria Serrano. Carla was formerly of Lake Station and a member of St. Francis Xavier Church.  She enjoyed reading.

She is survived by three brothers, Jose (Antonia) Serrano, Danny (Audrey) Serrano, Robert (Deana) Serrano, four sisters, Julia (Antonio) DeJesus, Juanita (Jaime) Del Valle, Maria (John) Wise, Norma (Mike) Martin and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Antonio and Edwardo.

Funeral services are Thursday, June 16, 2022 beginning with 10:15 a.m. prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart and proceeding to St. Francis Xavier Church for a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with Father Jaime Perea officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.  Visitation is Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.  (219) 942-2109 or online at www.Reesfuneralhomes.com .
