Carol Ann Johnson, age 78, of Lake Station passed away Wednesday November 7, 2018 at her home with her family near her side.  Carol was born November 19, 1939 in Gary, Indiana to the late David and Carrie Etta (Bristow) Savage.  She was a sales associate with L. S. Ayers for over thirty years.  Carol loved watching birds in her yard, sewing and making crafts. She was a 1958 graduate of Gary Edison High School and a long-time member of the Hobart Presbyterian Church.

Carol is survived by her beloved daughter, Deanna (George) Dvojacki of Hobart; step daughter, Cathy (John) Harris of Tuscaloosa, AL; three grandchildren; Autumn (Mike) Nichols, Amber (Joshua) Craig and Zachery Dvojacki; Five great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Alexus, Temperance, Oliver and Sebastian; two brothers, David (Susan) Savage of Crown Point and Harry (Marian) Savage of Plymouth; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank and her son, Kevin.

Funeral services will be 12:30 pm Tuesday November 13, 2018 at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342 with Mr. Ron Buche officiating.   Burial will follow in Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN 46410.  Visitation will be from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the funeral home.
