Carol Sue Brooks, age 70, of Wanatah passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 29, 1944 to the late Bud and Mildred Virginia (nee Webb) Anderson. Carol was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she enjoyed spending time with her family and giving tons of love to her grandbabies.
Carol is survived by her two sons; Richard (Cristina) Hulse of Hobart, Indiana, Michael (Erika) Brechbill, Thayer, Indiana, three daughters; Shawn (Michael) MacKay of Bridgman, Michigan, Christine (Robert) Kietzman of Michigan City, Indiana and Michele Raub of Hanna, Indiana, brother; Charles (Bernice) Anderson of Crown Point, Indiana, sister; Judy (Jack) Collville of Valparaiso, Indiana, 12 grandchildren; Amy (Duane) Keeling, Megan (Troy) Swanson, Ben (Amber) Godby, Michael Scott (Jennifer) MacKay, Ashley (Joshua) Harper, Ian (Amy) MacKay, Emily Raub, Haley Raub, Katie Raub,Morgan Hulse, Jake (Ciera) Hulse, and Noah Haddix 23 great-grandchildren and other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Brooks and her parents.
A funeral service for Carol will take place Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 11:00 am with Rev. Mark Hostetler officiating at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation for Carol will take place Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 pm also at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
