Carol A. Dennis

Carol A. Dennis, age 66, of Portage, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at St. Mary Medical Center.  She was born in Hammond, Indiana on August 6, 1951 to the late Thomas and Mildred (nee Moore) Latimer. She worked for the Portage School System as a bus matron and a cashier in the lunchrooms.  Carol loved making ceramics and camping with her three boys.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Carol is survived by her husband of 46 years, Darrell Dennis; sons, Robert Dennis, Kevin (Cheryl) Dennis; daughter in law, Becky Dennis; brother, Mike (Ava) Latimer; sister, Linda Delorey; and grandchildren, Julia, Lorraine, Dillon.

She was preceded in death by her son, George Dennis and her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Portage.

A memorial service for Carol will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:30 am with a luncheon to follow at the First United Methodist Church of Portage, 2637 McCool Road.  Cremation has been entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
