Carol A. Duncan

Carol A. Duncan, age 77, of Portage, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021.  She was born in Bessemer, Alabama on April 13, 1944 to the late Clarence and Doris (nee Martin) Brown.  She enjoyed playing BINGO and listening to country music.  She loved giving Christmas gifts to all her grandchildren and will be remembered as Miss Santa.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Robert Duncan; daughter, Wanda Slack; bonus daughter, Carol Ann (Erasmo "Junior") Mullins; grandchildren, Brent, Matthew, and Jeremy Gardner, Crystal and Amanda Slack, Josh Shockley; great grandchildren, Brianna, Oliver, Isabella, Annabella, McKinley, Destiny, Alyssa, Brayden, Devin, Meredith, Jace, Vianny, Jannelle; siblings, Terry (Denise) Brown, Brenda (Bo) Ingram, Laney (Roger) Stanley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her son, James Gardner; brother, Clarence "Buddy" Brown; and her parents.
