Carol Jane Fesko (née Yaros), aged 81, passed away on July 02, 2024, in Phoenix, AZ. Born on January 16, 1943, Gary, IN, to the late Stephen and Evelyn (Pest) Yaros, she lived a life marked by her enduring kindness, feistiness, cheerful smile, and class.

Carol, aka Corky, graduated from River Forest High School and had a number of positions from Ford Motor Credit and US Steel to the Post-Tribune Credit Union and Lake County State Bank. Ultimately, she went on to co-own a business - Closet Creations- with her late husband, Fred, alongside their close friends, George and Nancy. She was a spirited worker and friend. She was loved by all.

Carol's many hobbies included bird watching, walking, golfing, biking, bowling, and gardening – activities that reflected her love for life and the outdoors. She was a cherished figure known for her friendly demeanor and her ability to connect with not just her family and friends, but also with strangers, who were often touched by her smile and wit.

She is survived by her daughter, Sabrina; son, Brian (Kathy); sister and brother-in-law, Joanne (Fesko) and Thomas Nastoff;  best friends, Dee and Michele Maddock; and many other loved ones who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband Frederick.

Visitation will be from 6:00pm – 8:00pm Friday, July 12 at Rees Funeral Homes, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN 46342.  Funeral service will be 11:00am Saturday, July 13, also at Rees Hobart Chapel.
