Carol Lee Porshia (nee Guadagnino), age 69, of Portage, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017. She was born on August 25, 1947 in Yreka, California to the late Peter Guadagnino and Opal Belle Corrado. Carol was a 1965 graduate of East Gary Edison High School. On November 1, 1965, she married Robert E. Porshia. She loved gambling and went to Las Vegas every year for the last forty years. She was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed playing Bingo and planting flowers. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the people from trivia night at Moods Pub for the joy it gave their mother.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Toni Luciano; son, Robert Porshia; grandson, Jake Luciano; brother-in-law, Wayne Meitzler; niece, Lana (Mark) Searfoss; cousins, Linda Jones, Evelyn (Al) Landsburg; special friends, Betty Wegner, Jean Gaines and family, Stacy Clark, Marie and Lianne Plesko, Patricia Hodgson; many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Guadagnino and Opal Corrado; her beloved husband, Robert Elwood Porshia; brother, Raymond Guadagnino; sister, Marie Meitzler.

A memorial luncheon honoring Carol's life will take place on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 4:00-7:00pm at Ivy's Bohemia House, 321 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304.
