Carol A. Jones

Carol A. Jones, age 75, of Hobart, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018. She was born on January 24, 1943 in Gary, Indiana to the late William and Helen Burt. On May 15, 1971 she married Jeffery Jones, who preceded her in death in 2016. Carol was a 1961 graduate of Lew Wallace High School. She volunteered with the Hobart High School Band Boosters and Kids 1st Preschool. She was the owner of Carol's House of Crafts. In her free time, she enjoyed baking, crafting and doing crossword puzzles. Above all, she loved her family and cherished spending time with her grandson, Zachary.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Lori (James) Tish of Franklin, IN, Kimberly (Robert) Childers of Hobart; and one grandson, Zachary Childers.

Memorial contributions in Carol's name may be made to Kids 1st Scholarship Fund, 654 East 4 ^th Street, Hobart, IN 46342.

A funeral service for Carol will take place Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Rev. Rebecca Smith officiating.
