Carol (nee Blatz) Parker, age 59, of Lake Station, passed away Friday, January 4,2019  at her home. She was born on August 11, 1959 in Valparaiso, Indiana to the late Eugene and Janet Amelia (nee Russell) Blatz. On April 12, 1986 in Lake Station, Indiana she married the love of her life, Rickie Parker. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Rickie Parker; two sons, Michael (Jessica) Brown and Ricky Parker two daughters, April Brown and Sherry Parker; eight grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Zachary Brown, Cristal Brown, Marky Jr. and Alexas Roman, Aerial and Logan Meeks and Kira Ishii; three brothers Eugene , Donny and Jimmy Blatz; two sisters, Sharon (Alvin) McGill and Tammy (Tim) Villarreal; many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Brown, her parents and two sisters, Judy Blatz, Joyce Echterling .

A funeral service for Carol will take place Friday, January 11, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 from 10:00 am until time of service also at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel.
