Carol J. Riise

Carol J. Riise, age 85, of Hobart passed away Tuesday April 2, 2024, at Northwest Health, Porter in Valparaiso, Indiana. Carol was born December 8, 1938, in La Porte, Indiana to the late George and Dorthy (Kistler) Spencer. She was a Floral Designer that retired from Kellen's Florist in Hobart. Carol was an avid Purdue Fan, she loved sports and gardening.

Carol is survived by her loving husband Erik; three sons, Jeffrey (Jean) Moore of Hobart, Erik (Michele) Riise of Valparaiso, and Garry (Marty) Moore of Franklin; six grandchildren, Sarah (Jamie) Kolls, Carolyn (Justin) Ray, Kirstin (Ace) Riise, Tia Freshour, Melissa (Mickey) Bigott, and Matt (Samantha) Bigott; nine great grandchildren; one brother, William (Sharen) Spencer; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert (Pauline) Spencer; and two sisters, Barbara (Barney) Hannon and Nancy Bohlin.

Visitation for Carol will be from 1-3 pm Saturday April 6, 2024, at the Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. Cremation will follow.
