Carol Jean York

CAROL J. YORK, age 71, of Portage, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017. She was born in Rossford, OH on July 23, 1946 to the late Otis and Irene Askins. Carol enjoyed watching TV, especially NCIS, Blue Bloods and QVC. She was a pet lover who cared deeply about her cats and dogs.
Carol is survived by her 3 daughters, Jennifer, Wendy and Cindy York; sister, Patricia LaHote; former husband, Jerry York; many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard Askins and sister, Joyce Askins.
There will be a visitation for Carol on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 3:00 until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage.
