Carole A. Woods, age 71, of Hebron, former Hobart resident, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Saint Anthony's Hospice Center in Crown Point. Carole was born on May 22, 1943 to the late Chester and Stella (nee Matuszewski) Dziubla in Gary, Indiana. She was a retired Key Punch Operator for US Steel. On May 5, 1979 Carole married Zygmund Woods at Assumption Church in Hobart. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. She will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Donna (Douglas) Pociask of Hebron; sister, Judy Lozanovski of Hobart; brother, Lawrence (Violet) Dziubla of Valparaiso; special nephew, Thomas Lozanovski "Carole's little angel" several nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. A special thank you to her caregivers, Bernetta "Denise" Galloway, Carol Ziemniak and Sam Cranor.

Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Zygmund Woods, her parents and brother-in-law, Tome Lozanovski.

Funeral services for Carole will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 beginning with 9:30a.m. prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342 proceeding to Assumption BVM Church, 3530 Illinois Street, Hobart, Indiana 46342, for a 10:00 Mass of Christian burial with Rev. Lourdu Pasala officiating. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
