Obituary

Carolyn S. Brown (nee Forrester), age 69, of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017. Carolyn was born in Porter County, Indiana on June 28, 1947 to the late John and Ida (nee Herron) Sipich. Carolyn was a hairdresser at Rittenhouse in Portage. She enjoyed bowling at Camelot Bowling Alley and Hobart Lanes. Her passion was doing hair, going to the Casino and most of all spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Carolyn is survived by her five daughters, Tina (Greg) Louthan of Ohio, Sheri (Dan Kravcheno) Barneko of La Porte, Carla Brown of Valparaiso ,Amy Miazga of Wheeler and Christi (Bob) Meacham of Virginia; eight grandchildren, Jonny and Amberlee Louthan, Jake Barneko, Heidi Kravcheno, Drew (Marissa) Brown, Gage and Ethan Tinsley and Leksi Selby; four brothers, Mike (Pam) Sipich of Hobart, Denny Forrester of Missouri, Ed Sullivan and Randy (Annette) Sullivan of Portage; two sisters, Pepe "Ida" (Ray) Kieffner of Indianapolis and Cheryl Garwood of Portage; many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, Carlton "Stanley" Brown and her parents.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Brown family would be appreciated.
A memorial service for Carolyn will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 1:00 to 7:00 P.M. at American Legion Post 260 in Portage, Indiana.
