Catherine Conway
Age 98 passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012. She was a resident of Lake Station since 1951, formerly of Scotland. Catherine worked for many years as nurses' aid at Methodist Hospital, 4 East in Gary, Indiana. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her loving family; son Jim (Kaye) Conway and daughter, Len (Don) Potrebic, grandchildren; Rhonda (Kevin) Curtis, Karen (Lee) Jones, Heather (Charlie) Isley, Nick Portebic, Patrick (Brenna) Conway great grandchildren; Michaleen Jones, Taylor and Tyler Reid, Brogan and Fiona Conway.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, George "Scotty", her sisters Mary (Jim) McMahon, Agnes (Bill) Brown, Margaret Telling , Bessie (Dennis) Juett, and Nellie McIIroy.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to VNA Hospice of Valparasio.
Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 10:00 am, with additional viewing from 9:00-10:00 directly at St Francis Xavier Church, 2447 Putnam Street Lake Station, IN 46405, with Father David Kime officiating. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, December 7, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 pm with a 7:00 pm prayer service at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station, Indiana 46405.
