Age 69, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Horton VNA Hospice surrounded by her family. She was born November 9, 1943 in Gary, Indiana, to the late Walter and Annie Heavilin. Catherine enjoyed gardening, reading, old movies and bird watching. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, loving grandmother, great grandmother sister and aunt.
She is survived by her husband Harry Hall of Hobart, two sons; Greg (Susan) Hall of Portage, Ken Hall of Georgia, two daughters; Shelley (Michael) Mourer of Hobart, Diane (Tony) Pierce of Hobart, four grandchildren; Joe (Tracy) Hall, Stacy Mourer, Colleen Mourer and Alaina Pierce, on great granddaughter, Brooklyne Hall, one brother, Johnny Heavilin of Tennessee, four sisters; Shirley Gaines of Florida, Jeannie Vanaman of Maine, Carol Smith of Monterrey, Julie Heavilin, special cousin Barbara Galka and other loving family members and friends.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service for Catherine will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bob Burton officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, Indiana, 46342. Burial will be held at McCool Cemetery, Portage. Visitation will be Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 2:00-8:00p.m. also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart.
